A model you build once gets used ten times.

3D is rarely an end in itself. It is the source the work instruction, the animation, the image in the manual and later possibly the simulation all come out of. That makes the first investment high and every use after it cheap.

01 How it works

The most important question up front gets skipped almost every time: does a usable model already exist? On new build there is usually an engineering model, but it tends to be too heavy and too detailed and needs simplifying. On an installation from the nineteen-eighties there is nothing, and it begins with measuring or scanning.

We build to the level of detail the application asks for and no higher. An engineer who has to recognise a coupling does not need photorealism; they need a recognisable shape and correct proportions. Detail nobody sees still costs money and render time.

Agree up front that the model is your property and gets delivered in a reusable form. Without that agreement you are buying a picture rather than a foundation, and you pay again for the next application.

What we deliver

  • Simplified models of installations and components
  • Exploded views for assembly and maintenance
  • Stills for the manual, the quotation and the website
  • Real-time models for web and VR
  • Source files under your control
02 When to use

Worth it

Equipment you cannot open up to show. Installations several departments need imagery of. Situations where the same visual returns in the manual, the training and the sales pitch.

Not worth it

A one-off explanation of something simple, where a good photograph is faster and cheaper. Subjects where the spatial situation makes no difference.

So the question is not whether 3D looks good, but how many applications the model will get. At one it is expensive. At five it is the cheapest route available.

04 Specifications

Ownership stays with you

Source files are delivered, not just the end result.

Built for reuse

One model feeds instruction, animation, print and simulation.

Scalable detail

Heavy where it has to be, light where it can be, so it runs on any device.
